The strength of bioscience in Scotland and the BIA’s commitment to serving members' interests in this important market is reflected in the BIA Scotland office, based in Edinburgh. Established in 2001, BIA Scotland represents over 60 members in the Scottish bioscience sector. Scottish members benefit from tailored services, events and representation to more closely meet the particular needs of those operating in Scotland.

Lobbying on regulatory issues, both in the UK and EU, is a major focus for the BIA.
