The Communications Executive role at the BIA is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with a keen interest in science, politics and healthcare to kick off their communications career at a dynamic organisation working on fascinating hard news issues.

Under the  supervision of the Senior Communications Manager, the successful candidate will work on a broad range of communications tasks including: engaging with sector and national media, maintaining the BIA’s social media channels, generating and managing content for the new BIA website, managing the blog schedule for the organisation, acting as editor for the weekly newsletter Newscast and they will have the opportunity to engage with and learn on wider communications projects with teams across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a keen news sense, some demonstrable work experience of working in a press office or communications environment and will have examples of writing for different audiences and channels. Candidates should have experience of using content management systems for web publication, understanding of social media channels (in particular LinkedIn and Twitter) and be a competent user of all Microsoft Office applications.

Salary is Circa £25k dependent on experience.
