BIA response to the HMT consultation on a new EIS knowledge-intensive fund structure

The BIA has responded to the HM Treasury consultation on a new Enterprise Innovation Scheme knowledge-intensive fund.

In our submission, we supported the proposal for a new fund and suggested it:

• Provide the same rates and types of relief as the existing EIS incentives
• Introduce a new "Holding Relief" to incentivise long-term investment
• Be a listed evergreen fund

This consultation is part of the wider Patient Capital Review.
