Influencing and shaping our sector - BIA update: January - April 2017

It has been a busy start to 2017 for the BIA. Since our annual Gala Dinner in January, attended by over 700 representatives from the sector, we have been focusing our energies on informing the Industrial Strategy and continuing to engage with the Governmenton Brexit. This edition provides updates on the triggering of Article 50 and the Great Repeal Bill, our response to the Industrial Strategy green paper and a summary of the key announcements for the sector from the Chancellor’s Spring Budget. With the recent announcement of a snap General Election in June we will now be focusing on sharing our key messages with the political parties during the campaigning period and the new Government, once it is formed.
