NURTuRE (National Unified Renal Translational Research Enterprise) showcase
Providing an update on the NURTuRE programme, while supporting development of future collaborations and networking, this forum will bring together researchers and other stakeholders from across the spectrum with an interest in accelerating renal innovation through the secure and acceptable use of biosamples and linked data.
About the NURTuRE showcase
We want to share our achievements to date and our future plans to support innovative renal research. With speakers from key NURTuRE partners, including Kidney Research UK, world-leading investigators, project teams, patients and senior representatives from Astra Zeneca and Evotec, join us to hear about the upcoming opportunities, to meet other researchers and talk to members of the NURTuRE team during our networking sessions.
We are delighted that our conference is being jointly chaired by Professor Moin Saleem, from University of Bristol, who led the nephrotic syndrome cohort project and Michael Nation, director of NURTuRE at Kidney Research UK. A full programme will be released shortly.
About NURTURE
NURTuRE is the first kidney biobank with linked data covering England, Scotland and Wales. A key future resource for the renal research community, NURTuRE aims to facilitate much-needed progress in renal medicine, with a particular focus on identification of novel therapeutic targets, predictive biomarkers and personalisation of treatments.
With cohorts completed in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and idiopathic nephrotic syndrome (INS), NURTuRE will open for applications for access to samples and data in early 2024. Details will also be given on new cohort planning with an acute kidney injury (AKI) cohort collection programme due to commence on a phased basis also early in 2024.
