UKRMP Regenerative Medicine Virtual Conference

Established in 2013 by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC), Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) and the Medical Research Council (MRC), the UK Regenerative Medicine Platform (https://www.ukrmp.org.uk/) is a £42m initiative that is comprised of three interdisciplinary and complementary research Hubs, which draw together the major players in regenerative medicine from across the UK. The UKRMP Regenerative Medicine Conference will showcase exciting advances in regenerative medicine research in the UK and internationally, demonstrate translational successes, and provide opportunities to discuss emerging areas and challenges in the field.

Following the two-day UKRMP event, and led by Abigail Spear from the UK’s Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, there will also be a Special Focus Day on 28th September 2021 on Engineering and Physical Sciences in Regenerative Medicine. Topics will include areas such as robotics, biophysics, mathematical modelling, and manufacturing. Researchers are encouraged to explore the vital role Engineering and Physical Sciences research plays in Regenerative Medicine and to discover new ways in which it could contribute to this field both now and in the future.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Professor Milica Radisic, University of Toronto
  • Professor Brian Cummings, University of California
  • Dr Pamela Robey, National Institute of Health
  • Professor David J. Mooney, Harvard University
  • Professor Sarah Waters, University of Oxford

And many more! A full list of confirmed speakers is attached.
