ATMP manufacturing historically relied on manual processing in small scale, open vessels. Today, technology plays an important role in achieving consistent production of stable ATMP products. This course, in partnership with Cytiva, will examine process technologies and their operation for end-to-end ATMP production.
The course will include:
- Theoretical learning in the classroom
- Hands on practical work using industrial cell therapy production technology, including Cytiva’s NEW manufacturing platform.
- Hands on practical work using innovative cell selection and cryopreservation technology
This course is suitable for:

- Graduates, looking to prepare themselves for entering the advanced therapy and medicines manufacturing industry.
The course will take place from 1-3 July 2025 at the University of Birmingham and will include a free networking dinner on the 1 July.
