Registering your account

If you’re visiting the BIA website for the first time and looking to make the most of the features, create an online account. We'll send you an email to verify it and, once verified, you’ll be able to access the online benefits and update your account details, including (but not limited to):

  • Update your contact details.

  • Update your employment history, including company and job title.

  • Manage your communication preferences and preferred topics of interest.

  • Select your regions: primary (where your company is based) and secondary (other regions you’re interested in).

  • Submit company news, advertise job openings, promote events and share sector opportunities.

Membership directory

BIA’s membership directory contains the details of approximately 600 member companies across industry, investors and academia. As well as boosting brand visibility, it can be used to navigate the UK’s innovative life sciences ecosystem, connect with fellow members and understand their focus areas.

Looking for a specific company? Just type the name into the search bar. Use asterisks if you're unsure about the full name of the company, for example, BIA* to find all companies that have 'BIA' in their name. Alternatively, you can use filters to refine your search.

Within a member profile, you’ll find key details, such as:

  • Company website, contact details and social media profiles.

  • Business focus, technology type and therapeutic areas.

  • Related news and articles.

  • Events or job openings they are promoting.

Membership directory features

You can apply filters to find businesses that share your interests and needs. You can filter by technology type, therapeutic area, business type, funding stage and primary region. The map view offers a visual representation of the UK biotech ecosystem, making it easier to explore connections between different various geographical locations.

Key contacts can add the above category types via the ‘Edit my company profile’ option on the member homepage

Have you updated your company profile recently? Doing so enhances your presence in the membership directory and makes it easier for potential connections and investors to find you.
