Health, Safety, Environment & Compliance (HSEC) Coordinator (10389)
Rosalind Franklin Institute
The Rosalind Franklin Institute (the Franklin) is a technology institute established by the UK Government as a unique centre committed to advancing tools that are needed to transform healthcare in the future.
The Institute brings together researchers in life and physical sciences, and engineering, to develop a spectrum of tools which we will use to image, interpret and intervene in biological systems. These insights will speed up the discovery of new medicines, help find new diagnostics and contribute to a deeper understanding of human health and disease. Our Science Strategy seeks to focus the Franklin’s research and unite our researchers around our Technology Innovation Challenges and Life Science Challenges. As the Franklin has grown, so have our responsibilities around Health and Safety, Environment and Compliance (HSEC). This new role will enable and assist colleagues to co-ordinate activity across these important areas and will work within the Operations Team and across the whole Institute to ensure that we have rigorous processes in place to monitor key activities and important assurance actions arising from Health and Safety (H&S) meetings, audits and risk assessments.
The role of the HSEC Coordinator involves a variety of responsibilities aimed to ensure compliance with Health and Safety and environmental regulations. With a primary focus around Health and Safety, this role supports the H&S Advisor and also works closely with the Facilities Team, Quality, Human Resources and Laboratory Managers.
