Perla Development is a training, facilitation and executive coaching consultancy, specialising in leadership, management and professional development, (primarily within the life sciences sector). www.perladevelopment.co.uk

Founded in 2014, and run by Liz Mercer, Perla Development offers leadership and management development programmes, workshop design and delivery, executive coaching, team development and meetings facilitation. 

Perla's runs a manager development programme - Management Essentials - for first-line leaders and those relatively new to line management, which has been running since 2022. 

An exciting new joint venture with Matt Evans of Fired-Up Talent sees the launch of The Expert Leader Programme in Feb. 2026, aimed at senior leaders in the life sciences.  

Liz also works with many clients providing training and development in a variety of topics: coaching skills, feedback, delegation, difficult conversations, managing performance, leading change, motivation and engagement, to name but a few.  Many of her clients are BIA members and former colleagues from her corporate career in HR and Learning and Development for GSK and Astra Zeneca. 

Liz utilises a number of industry-leading concepts and tools in her work such as the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Korn Ferry competencies, Hogan, 360 feedback tools and the Key Polarity Indicator.
