Amici delivers cloud-based procurement and inventory management software along with expert services, from scientific sourcing to inventory management, to hundreds of biotech companies.

Established in 2005 when our CEO Caroline Briggs took the solo leap into entrepreneurship, Amici’s start-up phase was centred in her home for the first few years. By the time the business reached 5 employees, holding supplier meetings at the dining table spurred growth into a ‘proper’ office. 

The milestones that followed as the business developed ranged from the need to purchase our first projector, to major software upgrades as we expanded the functionality of our solutions. Initially an electronic purchasing platform, our offerings have gradually grown to include delivery expertise, advanced financial controls, lab equipment asset maintenance controls and inventory management tools. 

In 2017 we launched into the US and have now grown to service over 200 life sciences and biotech organisations. We are now riding a rapid growth wave as we work with increasing numbers of start-up labs, drug discovery organisations, CROs and those ramping up to GMP manufacturing. 

As we approach nearly 20 years in business, the focus of our 100+ employees remains on enabling scientists to focus on the science by providing an expert service in biotech procurement and inventory management.
