Deep biotech, underpinned by advances in engineering biology, applies biosolutions across sectors including agriculture, chemicals and materials, offering transformative opportunities for innovation and growth. The UK is well placed to strengthen its position in this emerging field and build a globally competitive deep biotech sector. The BIA’s new community will provide a platform for innovators to connect, shape policy and speak with a collective voice, helping to realise this potential.
