Harnessing Biotech for Sustainable Fashion & Textile Manufacturing

Are you working at the intersection of biotechnology and textiles – or curious about how collaboration between these two sectors can shape a more sustainable future? Please find details of our upcoming workshop, hosted by IBioIC in conjunction with the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT).

Biotechnology is unlocking a more sustainable future for the textiles industry. From bio-based fibres and materials derived from algae and crop residues, to enzymatic dyeing and bio-manufactured pigments. Biotech is replacing resource-intensive processes with low impact, circular alternatives delivering novel performance characteristics and transformational end-of-life solutions.

This event is designed to match real-world industry challenges with cutting-edge biotech solutions – supporting the shift to responsible fashion and low-impact manufacturing.

Who should attend?
