LinkGevity CEO Dr Carina Kern contributes to new Springer Nature volume on longevity science

Dr Carina Kern, CEO and co-founder of LinkGevity, has contributed to a new interdisciplinary chapter examining how the human exposome influences ageing, healthspan and resilience.

The chapter, “The Human Exposome: Whole-System Health Underpinning Advances in Human Healthspan, Resilience, and Flourishing,” is published by Springer Nature as part of Frontiers of Longevity Science.

The human exposome encompasses the environmental, biological, social and other exposures people experience throughout their lives. The chapter explores how these exposures interact with human biology and may influence the pace of biological decline, resilience and healthy ageing.

Bringing together expertise from medicine, science, technology, policy and design, the work considers longevity from a whole-system perspective - moving beyond genetics alone to examine the wider factors that shape health across the lifespan.

Dr Carina Kern contributes expertise in the biology of ageing and age-related disease, building on her Blueprint Theory of Ageing, which underpins LinkGevity’s research into the biological mechanisms that drive cellular and tissue degeneration with age.
