ZEISS and Pioneer announce Victoria House partnership

Pioneer Group and ZEISS, a global leader in optical and optoelectronic technology, are delighted to unveil a strategic partnership.

Through the partnership, which kicks off at Victoria House in London, but is set to expand across the wider Pioneer network, ZEISS will empower tenant researchers with advanced imaging technology for biotech and pharmaceutical innovations, help to foster a collaborative ecosystem that enables startups and research groups to leverage ZEISS expertise and technology, and accelerate breakthroughs in drug discovery, cell biology, and biomedical research by providing access to world-class microscopy tools.

Victoria House spans 300,000 sq ft of contemporary office and lab space and facilitates the collaboration of life sciences businesses, technology entrepreneurs, academia, research, large pharma and venture finance teams.

Through this partnership, Victoria House tenants will benefit from access to the ZEISS Celldiscoverer 7 with LSM900, a high-performance confocal microscope designed for high-speed, high-resolution imaging in biomedical applications, the company’s arivis software that provides AI-driven, automated pipelines for multi-dimensional image analysis, and the ZEISS Axiovert 5 digital, an all-in-one cell culture and research imaging system with AI tools to assist in daily work. The kit is stationed in the Innovation Suite within The Incubator on the seventh floor of the building, which provides a ‘one-stop shop’ for start-ups and growing businesses.

In addition, the ZEISS team will provide training and support to resident scientists to maximise the technology’s impact and facilitate collaborative research opportunities with access to application specialists and industry experts.

Dean Edwards, Head of Sales and Service at Research Microscopy Solutions UK, ZEISS, says:

At ZEISS, we are committed to providing researchers with the best tools to push the boundaries of scientific discovery. Our collaboration with Victoria House reflects our dedication to advancing biotech and pharmaceutical research through cutting-edge imaging technology. We are excited to see the groundbreaking innovations that will emerge from this partnership.

The ZEISS team will also host ‘lunch and learn’ events at Victoria House to showcase various application topics, talks from key opinion leaders and collaborators, and an on-site pop-up imaging clinic, offering free imaging consultations.

Niamh Madden, Account Manager for Lab Suppliers at Pioneer, says:

ZEISS is a pioneer in the field of optics and imaging. The company’s continued commitment to excellence and innovation makes it a perfectly aligned partner for Pioneer at Victoria House. Our tenants will benefit from access to the team’s world-class technology and expertise, enabling even the earliest-stage companies to progress ideas that have the potential to revolutionise healthcare.

The Incubator on the seventh floor of Victoria House is a flexible workspace that removes operational barriers and lowers development costs, providing state-of-the-art equipment, shared services, and pre-negotiated discounts on consumables to give companies a competitive advantage.
