Fermtech develops sustainable ingredients by applying fermentation to underutilised side streams from the food industry.

Our platform uses simple, scalable fermentation processes to convert low-value biomass into functional ingredients with strong unit economics and significantly reduced environmental impact. By working with existing supply chains and feedstocks, we avoid the need for new agricultural inputs while unlocking additional value from current food systems.

Our initial products focus on fibre- and flavour-rich ingredients for applications such as cocoa alternatives, bakery, and cereals. Compared to conventional ingredients, Fermtech’s products can offer improved cost performance alongside substantial reductions in carbon footprint.

The company is focused on scaling production through partnerships with food manufacturers and supply chain operators, with a vision to build a new category of sustainable, fermentation-derived ingredients at industrial scale.
