CGT Catapult sponsor apprentice of the year award at bioProcessUK

As custodians of the triple award-winning Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC), Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult are excited to announce that we are sponsoring the first ever Apprentice of the Year award at the ever-popular annual bioProcessUK conference, taking place in Newcastle on 25-27 November 2025.

This award recognises and celebrates the outstanding achievements, talent and dedication of apprentices working in the bioprocessing sector.

Applications were reviewed by independent assessors, and the 2025 recipient will be presented with the award at the Conference Dinner on the evening of 26 November at the spectacular Glasshouse, overlooking the River Tyne.

Why not come visit us at our stand in the Exhibition Hall to say hello and learn more about apprenticeships and our wider collaborations within the sector!

What is ATAC?

The triple award-winning Advanced Therapies Apprenticeship Community (ATAC) is the first apprenticeship programme designed specifically to train and upskill individuals in developing, manufacturing and delivering innovative therapies at scale.

ATAC works with apprentices, employers and training providers to support industry-focused apprenticeships in advanced therapies, vaccines, biologics and complex medicines such as mRNA and oligonucleotide medicines manufacturing.

Consult - We work with organisations across medicines manufacturing to identify industry need and bridge skills gaps

Design - We work with training providers to design specialist pathways and modular content to meet industry needs

Attract - We raise the profile of the sector to attract talented individuals and ensure a pipeline of talent to fill job vacancies for employers

Advise - We provide valuable advice to employers and their apprentices pre-programme, whilst on programme and afterwards

Enrich - We draw on our network of employers and support to deliver a programme of enrichment activities to enhance the on-programme experience for apprentices and their managers
