Will James appointed Vice-Chair of BIA Intellectual Property Advisory Committee
The BioIndustry Association (BIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Will James, partner at Osborne Clarke LLP, as Vice-Chair of its Intellectual Property Advisory Committee (IPAC).
IPAC leads the BIA’s IP policy development, drawing on the expertise and experience of its members to shape the environment for IP ownership and ensure strong IP protection for innovative life sciences and biotech companies in the UK.
Will has extensive expertise in patent litigation and IP strategy in the life science sector having been involved in some of the most high profile and legally significant biopharma patent disputes of the last decade and more. He is International Head of Osborne Clarke’s Life Sciences and Healthcare sector group, where he leads complex multi-jurisdictional patent disputes and advises clients on strategies for unlocking value from their IP.
