King’s Commercialisation Institute

This is a new senior role within King’s Commercialisation Institute (KCI) for accelerating the commercial translation and impact delivery arising from the university’s life science research.  The post will support the Director of KCI in leading and managing the commercial assessment, prioritization and management of selected research technologies alongside their respective principal investigators (PI’s).  The objective is to enhance the development and commercial prospects for technologies by creating compelling investment propositions so private and industrial investors engage to accelerate product development and achieve commercial impact.

The technologies which the post will engage cover human medical therapeutics, diagnostics, medtech and digital health.

The post holder must have relevant industrial experience having had responsibilities in managing the transition of research technologies into development and in successfully negotiating business and investor transactions.

The post holder will help PIs and other team members to develop and implement robust and comprehensive business cases that align with and are compelling to the needs of investors and industry.

Post duration:    Indefinite contract.

Salary:    The basic salary will be negotiable, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
