Your role would be to help build and evaluate prototypes as they are used in pilot trials, advance the technical capability of these prototypes, and help move them towards commercial launch in collaboration with a variety of partners. We would expect you to have: 

Required:  A Ph.D in optical physics, or equivalent. A strong technical background in imaging optics, ideally including microscopy.  A track record of devising, designing and constructing optical instrumentation for optical breadboard and prototype systems.  Experience of some advanced fluorescence measurement techniques - for example microscopic FRET or super-resolution techniques. Exceptional problem solving skills Advantageous; Experience with optics for biological applications, such as cell imaging or reporter assays. In-depth experience with optomechanics and instrument automation. Experience with coding and (ideally) commercial software design.
