Cancer Research UK - ECMC Programme Office

Experimental Cancer Medicine Centres (ECMC) is a unique pan-age network, bringing together the talent and the tools that we need to innovate and take the fight to cancer. The ECMC adult and paediatric early-phase research centres along with 500+ experts are working with industry and academic partners to champion ideas, develop treatments and transform patients’ lives. Their collaborative approach is accelerating the process of developing anti-cancer treatments globally, reducing costs and timescales and increasing effectiveness.

The ECMC is powered by joint investment from Cancer Research UK, the Little Princess Trust, the National Institute for Health Research in England and the Health Departments for Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with over £150 million invested to date.

The Programme Office team strives to promote the ground-breaking work being carried out by the ECMC Network, such that is recognised as being a world competitor in this field of study. Their expression of interest process for sponsors provides the opportunity to be given access to key opinion leaders, scientific expertise and site-level intelligence. The ECMC also have a comprehensive network wide confidentiality agreement to cover the feasibility and site selection process, providing ease of interaction between sites in the network.
