The European Laboratory Research and Innovation Group UK (ELRIG) is a not-for-profit company whose purpose is to bring the life science and drug discovery communities together to learn, share, connect, innovate and collaborate. We achieve this through the production of world class conferences, networking events, webinars, which may have as few as 100 attendees or as many 1500 attendees.

Our values are to always ensure the highest quality of scientific content is presented and that that content will be made freely available. ELRIG will always be an inclusive organisation, serving a diverse scientific community as well as being volunteer led, run by the life sciences community, for the life sciences community, on a not-for-profit basis.

ELRIG has evolved from the Laboratory Robotics Interest Groups set up in North America in the early 2000’s, and has become an independent commercial enterprise, with no major benefactors nor significant funding from a single source. Instead ELRIG depends on key partners to provide rent-free venues and the vendor community to purchase sponsorship opportunities at its events. ELRIG is unique in that it considers vendors to be very much part of the life science community and incorporates presentations on their innovations into its podium programming.
