BIA submision to the S&T Select Committee inquiry on improving diversity in STEM

In our submission, we recommend:

• To report on and include diversity in R&D grant awards processes
• To invest in and build upon existing best practice diversity initiatives

There currently is a distinct lack of data across the UK biotech and life sciences sector to define the extent of underrepresentation and therefore the BIA would welcome recommendations which build the evidence base.
